Giraffe Without Looking
I found this exercise book and started a new practice. It is so fun. This is exercise #2 (the first one is taking forever to dry between coats).
It is super simple. You look at a giraffe, and draw the giraffe without ever taking your eyes off the giraffe, that means no looking at your pen and paper. After several attempts, here's where I landed. The giraffe's eyes are supposed to be open (you can look at your paper when you move to an internal body part) but I think the closed eye is actually cuter. I could see this hanging in a little funky child's room.
If you have time, you really should give it a go. It is a really fun little experiment.
